About

A wall-mounted metal cabinet for storage and display. The Plié Wall Unit is made from laser-cut aluminium sheets, folded into shape for a robust yet lightweight design. Features two short drawers to conceal and protect belongings, with built-in mechanical sliders for soft-closing. The mounting technique uses a folded aluminium strip fixed to the wall with two screws, forming a hook that allows the unit to slide into place. The unit can also be placed directly on the floor without the mounting strip. The frame comes flat-packed with detailed instructions for simple assembly, while the drawers arrive ready-made for easy installation.

Available in four powder-coated colours and a brushed aluminium finish, in two lengths: 180 cm (71 in) and 240 cm (94 in).

Designed by Cesare Bizzotto and Tobias Nitsche of FROM INDUSTRIAL DESIGN, the Plié Wall Unit is part of the Plié Shelving System, winner of the 2019 German Design Award. Produced in Portugal.

Known for developing innovative and forward-thinking solutions while keeping an edge in their aesthetics, the duo met during their masters degree at ECAL, Switzerland, and have been developing industrial products in the fields of furniture and lighting ever since. Plié, their shelving system design for UTIL, was awarded the German Design Award for Excellent Product Design in 2019
